Aussie WoW Always Legal Says Blizzard

Blizzard has clarified its position on Australian World of Warcraft classification.

This week it had been reported that MMOs such as World of Warcraft were under threat in Australia due to a loophole in the Australian classification system and were in fact now deemed 'illegal'.

Yesterday we reported that this was in fact not the case and this evening Blizzard reiterated this by sending IncGamers the following statement:

"Blizzard Entertainment and its affiliates work very closely with the Interactive Entertainment Association of Australia to ensure that we are in full compliance with Australian law as it relates to the distribution and operation of our games, including World of Warcraft. We’d like to reassure all of our players that World of Warcraft is currently, and has always been, distributed and operated legally in Australia."

All is well in Azeroth down-under.
