Transformers Sequel Confirmed

Activision has confirmed a sequel to last year's Transformers game is currenty in development.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen features high-paced action gameplay and allows the player to choose Autobot or Decepticon, select a mission and pick from a diverse roster of Transformers, each with special weapons and abilities.The game will also introduce multiplayer game modes to the franchise.

The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game are in development with Luxoflux, with Krome handling the PS2 and Wii editions. Two "completely different" Transformers titles are in development for the DS by Vicarious Visions  and Savage Entertainment is working on a "unique, fast-paced action arcade title" for the PSP.

The game is likely to be released around the same time as its film inspiration, later ths year.
