Blizzard Prioritises Development Over E3
 Paul Younger

Blizzard has today confirmed it will not be attending this year's E3.

Speaking to Edge earlier today. Blizzard's PR manager Bob Colayco confirmed that the company will not be part of the Activision setup at this year's event.

Following the news, IncGamers contacted Bob Colayco to find out more about the decision. Bob told IncGamers:

"Our current focus is on the ongoing development of Diablo III, StarCraft II, and World of Warcraft. We are already planning to participate in a number of shows this year and look forward to sharing the latest news on our games at these events".

With the WWI and BlizzCon now playing a major part in Blizzard's event calendar the news comes as little suprise.

Really, why would they go? The benefits don't outweigh the costs in time and money. They have the lions share of the market and are in healthy profits and that doesn't look to be changing any time soon. As you say, WWI and BlizzCon, where they get undiluted attention from attendees, is the best place for announcements.

Wonder which shows beyond those they will go to however. Maybe less manic affairs. Mind you, they went to GC which is bigger than E3.
