Battlefield 1943 and Bad Company 2 Announced

DICE's shooter returns in a Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Following the announcement in EA's latest financial conference call, EA has today confirmed it is developing Battlefield: Bad Company 2. The game will be released on the PC, PS3 and 360.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2B Company will be battling their way through snowy mountaintops, dense jungles and dusty villages loaded with weaponry and vehicles to help them on missions. The game is driven by DICE's  next generation Frostbite engine and EA says we can expect "total destruction" which will please trigger-happy shooter fans.

Accompanying the announcement comes news of  Battlefield 1943, an all-new multiplayer game that’s being made available on Xbox LIVE, Playstation Network and the PC this winter. The game heads back to WWII and will offer “endless hours of 24 player multiplayer action over three classic and tropic locations; Wake Island, Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima." Fans of the series will notice that the locations mentioned are classic Battlefied 1942 maps and we can't wait to see them re-imagined in the Frostbite engine.
