Blizzard released their latest Blizzcast revealing interesting snippets of information for World of Warcraft fans.
Blizzcast #7 is the latest look behind the scenes at Blizzard who were more than willing to spill the beans on design decisions for the hit MMO.
Interestingly enough, the Death Knight was the final choice for the game's first hero class beating out a Necromancer (ranged attack) and Runemaster (rogue/monk) class ideas.
Reagrding the new zones, Northrend was actually one of the first ever protyped zones for World of Warcraft and Wrath of the the Lich King was actually suggested to the first expansion for the game but they decided to go with the Burning Crusade for tiing reasons.
As far as current content is concerned, Wrath of the Lich King is split into three acts with the end of the first act being the cutscene at the Wrathgate. The next installments will be coming in future patches.
The massive Uldar Raid Zone is also apparently nearing completion according to Blizzard and fans can expect its release in the not too distant future.
Blizzard's Chris Metzen was also on hand in this latest Blizzcast giving more details on the game's lore. Our network site WorldofWar.Net goes into this in more detail on the lore segment so its worth checking that out.
The full Blizzcast can be heard on the Blizzcast site.
