Electonic Arts has confirmed it has made more redundancies as part of its plan to reduce its global workforce by ten per cent.
The staff cuts have targeted the publisher's Vancouver-based Black Box studio with Edge reporting that at least 200 workers have been made redundant. The studio will be closed permanently and remaining staff may be integrated into EA's nearby Burnaby team.
Black Box has worked on the Need For Speed series and most recently Skate 2.
The news follows reports earlier in the week of cutbacks at the publisher's Mythic and Tiburon studios.
