The Chinese government plans to abolish screen names for online gamers according to a recent report.
The People's Daily Online reports that Zhang Yijun, director of the General Administration of Press and Publication's Technology and Digital Publication Department, stated that real-name registration for online gamers in China will begin this year.
The article also claims that four Chinese online gaming companies have been forced to close after it was found they were not using the mandatory "anti-addiction technology."
