Sega Europe has announced its upcoming action title for the Wii, Madworld, has been passed for release by UK censors.
According to Game Politics, the British Board of Film Censorship (BBFC) has awarded the game a '18' rating due to "very strong, stylised, bloody violence." The news must come as a relief to Sega which has been working closely with the BBFC to avoid a ban like the one imposed on Rockstar's Manhunt 2 which was judged too violent for release.
Last year, UK campaigner MediaWatch called for a ban on the Madworld, arguing that violent games have no place on the "family friendly" Wii platform.
