Resident Evil 5 Demo This Month

Capcom has revealed it will release a Resident Evil 5 demo exclusively on Xbox LIVE on 26 January.

The demo, which will be available for one week only, will include two early levels from the game, Assembly Place and Shanty Town. It will also showcase the new co-op feature, which is available in three ways: single player with AI support, split screen and over Xbox LIVE.

Resi fans will also get a glimpse at the new enemies on offer including an army of weapon-wielding Majini, the huge Majini Executioner and the Chainsaw Majini.

Resident Evil 5 sees the series move to Africa as Chris Redfield investigates an incidence of bioterrorism which has transformed the locals into flesh-hungry zombies. This time Chris teams up with a new ally Sheva, allowing for some engaging co-op play.

The game is due for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 on 13 March.
