Street Fighter II HD Remix Sells 250,000

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix has sold over 250,000 units breaking day one and week one record sales for a downloadable title.

Having only been out since 25 November, 2008 the game is on its way to also becoming the “highest grossing digital title ever” according to Capcom Unity.

HD Remix demonstrates that there is a thriving market for nostalgic gaming, hopefully this along with Bionic Commando’s success will inspire some more developers to touch up their classics for online stores.

Gamers looking to get back into Street Fighter II action should be sure to check out the PSN version for an exclusive free download of the Underground Remix Soundtrack.
