The sequel to Square Enix’s first entry into the MMO genre, Final Fantasy XI, is rumored to be revealed at next year’s E3.
EGM editor in chief and avid FF XI player, James Mielke, wrote an article in EGM claiming the sequel to Square Enix’s MMO would be unveiled at E3 in June, as well as offering advice to the developer.
Some issues he points out are 24 hour to week long monster spawns, complicated menus, and expansion discs with no data (just unlocking a 600mb patch).
Square Enix can certainly learn a few lessons from Blizzard's massively successful World of Warcraft to streamline the game experience and bring in more players, but we’ll just have to wait and see at next year's E3.
