Activision Announces Modern Warfare 2

A publishers' showcase revealed the upcoming lineup from Activision Blizzard confirming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, a new Tony Hawk game and another Guitar Hero installment.

While it’s still too early to set any solid release dates, Call of Duty is expected to arrive in the autumn of 2009, with the new Tony Hawk title coming soon after in October.

MTV Multiplayer Blog's Stephen Totilo reported a new James Bond title is also in the works, most likely based on the next movie with a rumored target release of 2010.

While details for the new Guitar Hero were'nt given, it's hard to see them stray too far from the  formula that has worked so well for the series thus far.

More surprisingly Blizzard haven't confirmed, mentioned or detailed any of the titles they're developing.  A little bit of a let down when we already know that they're working on multiple titles.

We'll keep you informed as the information becomes available.
