New Xbox 360 arcade units are now starting to come with 256MB of internal memory.
While this isn’t enough to download some trailers and game demos, 256MB is sufficient for a small amount of game saves and the NXE’s memory requirement.
The older version of the Xbox 360 arcade unit used to come with a memory card, but Microsoft cut that package to make way for their $199.99 USD and £129.99 GBP Arcade SKUs.
A Microsoft spokesperson told Xbox 360 Fanboy they are “constantly updating the console's more than 1700 internal components.”
Gamers may want to wait a little bit if they plan on investing in the Arcade SKU to ensure they don’t wind up purchasing a memory-less bundle that’s been sitting around on store shelves.
