The uncensored version of GTA IV will go on sale in Australia.
Although Australia has stringent rules on classifications for games, it’s been decided the full version of the game will be released for the PC.
This has come as a surprise to some gamers as the console version was famously edited earlier this year before launch for the Australian audience.
Rockstar Games has confirmed they had to make voluntary cuts to their content which would allow the game to satisfy the guidelines set b the Australian Office of Film and Literature Classification.
Speaking to GameSpot, a Rockstar spokesperson said "Grand Theft Auto IV PC has been rated MA15+ strong violence, sex scenes, coarse language, and drug references by the Australian Classification Office. The PC game is unedited in any way and identical in content to the international version."
This after news that F.E.A.R. 2 would also be banned in Australia with its current content.
