A post on the official forum has confirmed that Gears of War 2 will be patched for multiplayer mode resolving the “matchmaking issues” some players have been experiencing.
The thread, posted by senior producer Rod Fergusson, outlines the work which Epic has undertaken to fix the issues.
So what’s been done you ask? Well, the post states that the public matchmaking will be faster, “especially in the single player party and the four player party case.”
In addition to this there will be “a tweak” which will prevent the loss of some of the stats on gearsofwar.com.
Finally the issue of not being able to start the story-based campaign if LIVE is down or unavailable will also be resolved.
Some of the amendments and fixes will be effective immediate, while others may take a few days to “play out” continues Fergusson.
