PETA Attacks Cooking Mama

People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has attacked Cooking Mama with a disturbing violent flash knockoff and disparaging statements.

In a statement PETA said that the criticisms on Mama were because "the games are so heavy on dishes made from dead animals that the only things missing are the blood and the slaughterhouse. So in the name of accuracy and honesty, PETA decided to introduce a little of both."

Intrestingly, most people who eat meat wouldn't visit the slaughter-house, nor would they really see the point in doing so.

This is just one of PETA's many attempts to bring the vegan culture to light by making headlines akin to the "Your Daddy Kills Animals!" comic.

Incredibly, a resource which could help bring home-cooking back into the lives of the next generation in a fun and interactive way is being attacked.  Although PETA do campaign the big players directly, one has to ask whether attacking the consumer on a product which is both educational and fun is really the most effective way to raise the profile of the company.
