Blizzard Talks New MMO

Midnight saw the Wrath of the Lich King go live across Europe, as hundreds of WoW fanatics flocked to the stores to pick up their copy of the new expansion.

At London's HMV store in Oxford Circus, people flooded the store eager to get their hands on the new game.

We were there and we got a chance to talk to Blizzard's chief operating officer, Paul Sams, and associate producer on WoW Lee Sparks.

In an interview, which will go live sometime today, Paul Sams commented on the new MMO and why there hasn't been any news since its confirmation.

"We haven't shared it publicly because when we do, we want to have a definite idea about what that gameplay experience is going to be."

After pushing for an answer on whether or not we could expect to see the new game on the console, Sams said "that it would be a natural thought for people to have that that would be the 'next level', but I don't think that should be the assumption because I think there is a lot more that can be done on a PC."

Early signs then that the new MMO won't be coming to consoles any time soon, or just a way to make sure rumours don't fly...we're not sure, but keep your eye out for our interview.
