7-11 Stores Break Gears 2 Street Date

Gamers that frequent 7-11 to get their taste buds stimulated by the icy cold refreshing taste of a Slurpee may be surprised to find an early copy of Gears of War 2 on the shelves.

Last night while attending a Quantum of Solace launch party, Game Girl blogger Nikole recieved a phone call from her friend claiming he'd snagged a copy of Gears of War 2 from his local 7-11. Jumping at the opportunity Nikole and friends hit every 7-11 store until their 5th visit where they were able to buy a copy of the game without any question.

Gamers that have Walmart as their "stores most likely to accidentally break street date" list should also check out their local 7-11, and if they don't have the game, then at least you can pick up a cool  and refreshing Slurpee.
