Hellgate London Update Incoming

HanbitSoft who recently acquired the Hellgate London IP from Flagship Studios, has announced that a new update for the game will be released.

Following news that that the Hellgate London servers will close early next year, a nameless Hanbitsoft  Product Manager released a statement on the Game Expresso site which states that the new US based Hellgate development studio Redbana will be releasing an update to the game soon.

The post states that the update will surpass “The Abyss Chronicles" and will be "available through our website". Whether the update will be free for everyone or not is unclear.

HanbitSoft has been sending mixed messages to owners of the game since Flagship Studios was closed down but this is at least a positive sign there may be a chance the game will survive with a new development studio at the helm.
