Square-Enix Releases More FFXIII Details

Square-Enix has released info in Japan's Famitsu detailing blond man from the trailer, as well as giving us a backstory.

While it may seem like a rather minor detail, this information gives us a gauge of the games setting.

"His name is Snow, and he will be joining the ranks of weather-inspired characters such as Cloud, Squall, and FFXIIIcostar Lightning. Snow is one of the Rush. The Rush are chosen ones whoare granted special powers by Falsh, a being who has surpassed humanknowledge and created one of the kingdoms in the game. Falsh sendsmissions to the Rush in the form of visions. These visions are rathervague, leaving the Rush members to interpret them for themselves." Translated from Famitsu via thatvideogameblog.

From what we've read the Rush have a pseudo mercenary lifestyle which may make for some interesting story progression and narrative.

Unfortunately Square-Enix continues to be rather quiet about the game's release date.
