Mercenaries 2 has sold an impressive 1.2 million copies during the fiscal quarter, and according to EA CEO John Riccitiello, there will be a third installment.
On a post in EDGE Riccitiello detailed the future of some of their new 2008 IPs such as Dead Space and Mirror's Edge saying we can "expect those titles to come back in one way, shape or form," despite the fact Mirror's Edge is less than two weeks away from its release.
He also confirmed Spore will be receiving two more expansion packs within the next six months. It seems EA has timed this holiday season to solidify the mass appeal of its new IPs in the gaming market.
