Chris Sigaty, lead producer StarCraft 2, confirmed to IncGamers today that the new iteration of the StarCraft 2 game will be split into three parts.
Working like expansions, you'll need all three box sets allowing you to access the full universe and play online with other gamers.
If you're not so keen on splashing cash on multiple expansions you can still use the first box 'Wings of Liberty Mode' which only requires the original box.
The decision to ship on three boxes was "more to do with time than money," said Sigatay. Rather than waiting a whole year to get the additional game expansions, it means that people can at least start to play and learn the game.
And with around 30 maps per campaign, there certainly will be a lot for players to do.

Why don't they just finish the game, then release it. With all this time what could they have possibly been doing? Valve could've finished half-life 3 by now.
