Talking at a press conference at BlizzCon, Mike Morhaime, founder and CEO of Blizzard said that he wasn't worried about competitors being first to bring MMOs to consoles.
Asked whether delaying the release on console games would mean thatcompetitors could establish themselves as market leaders, Morhaime wasquick to point out that Blizzard were more worried about the quality oftheir product.
"I think it comes down to the games, so I'm not to worried about being the first to the stake of the market share."
"Blizzard has rarely been first to create a genre," continued Morhaime.
"What's the next step, what's the next evolution? And it's not dependant on platform."
Morhaime said the partnership with Activision has certainly helped ease the pressure of producing a console specific MMO, hinting that Activision would play a major part in any development for the console platforms.
