Deus Ex 3 Revealed

Eidos Montreal has revealed the first details about the next game in the Deus Ex series.

According to PC Zone (via CVG), Deus Ex 3 will be a prequel set in 2027 and will follow the story of Adam Jensen, a security guard at a biotech lab. Jensen's life is turned upside down when a team of commandos break into his lab leading him into a grand conspiracy.

Eidos Montreal is aparently keen to avoid the mistakes made in the first Deus Ex sequel, Invisible War, and the new game will have a "powerful, layered" narrative. However, the developer has also announced its itention to make Deus Ex 3 accessible to newcomers. As such, combat will not be stat-reliant this time around, stealth sections will rely on a cover system and health will be regenerative like in Call of Duty.
