Konami have today announced that they’ve signed an advertising deal with Setanta, the subscription sports broadcaster, and will feature in their upcoming PES title.
The agreement means players will see static perimeter boards plastered with Setanta branding throughout stadiums.
“This is a fantastic coup for Konami to be working with such a respected sports broadcaster,” commented Jon Murphy, PES Team Leader for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH.
Setanta are happy too, seeing this as an opportunity to “reach [their] core target audience of sports fans” more effectively.
Recent months have seen debates regarding this matter, with EA heading up their sports franchise earlier on and fast food joints possibly featuring in FPS games.
