Critically acclaimed BioShock was released on the 360 last year, with the PS3 version to follow this year.
One of the bones of contention that resonated through the BioShock community was the ending. And there was speculation that the game’s ending would be tweaked for the PS3 release. But not so.
MTV Multiplayer, speaking to Melissa Miller the PS3 version’s senior producer, said that the the temptation to “re-do things” was certainly there, but the team “chose not to,” and that they wanted to “respect it.”
And rightly so according to our very own Andy Alderson, a big fan: “Although the ending was disappointing, you can’t really change the ending without changing the whole story.”
Miller reiterates this by saying that by adding things “that complement what was created,” the game would be better received.
So what PS3 gamers can expect are new game modes and platform exclusive downloadable content.
