Chinatown Wars Details Revealed

New details of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars have been revealed in this month's Nintendo Power Magazine.

According to a post on NeoGaf, the magazine states the game will have a cel-shaded art style and will take place in a "good portion" of Liberty City. The action will be viewed from an isometric viewpoint and the game world will feature a 24 hour day/night cycle as well as real-time weather effects.

The article states Chinatown Wars will focus on shorter periods of play and so the mission restart system has been tweaked, throwing you straight back into the action when you die. Also, any fears that the DS version of GTA will feature a more family-friendly narrative have been quashed as the game's story is apparently "gritty" enough to earn it a Mature rating.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is due for release before the end of the year.
