Spore Prototypes Available For Download

EA and Maxis have allowed gamers access to the software prototypes used to design Spore.

The prototypes are now available to download from the official website and include ParticleMan (which simulates the gravitational attraction between particles in a cloud) and Space (whch is a gameplay prototype of Spore's space sections).

"One of the ways in which we explore possible design directions is by building simple, playable prototypes that we can play around with to get a sense for a particular system", says the offcial website. "Usually these prototypes are never seen by the public, but we thought some of the more intrepid players out there might enjoy playing around with a few of our early Spore prototypes. Keep in mind these are not tested, supported or even easily explained."

Spore is available now for PC.
