Spore Attacked By Christian Right
 Andy Alderson

EA's new "sim-everything" title, Spore, has been branded evolutionist "propaganda" by a creationist blog writer.

The Anti-Spore blog has been set up to inform EA that games which apparently promote evolutionary theory are "not acceptable".

"Yesterday I found out about a new game called Spore when my son asked me to buy it for him. It looked innocent enough at first and has “E for Everyone” ESRB rating", reads the blog. "But don’t be mislead, apparently “everyone” means everyone they want to teach evolution to. This entire game is propaganda aimed directly at our children to teach them evolution instead of creationism, or “intelligent design” if you go for stupid PC terms."

We contacted EA who declined to comment on the blog's accusations.

Spore allows the player to create a species and follow its development from a microscopic organism to an intelligent space-travelling being and is available now on PC.

I'm sorry, but I really have to laugh about this. I am a die-hard believer in Creation and Christianity for that matter. But I hate people complaining about video games, if you are afraid a game is going to make your child believe in Evolution than you as a parent are NOT doing your JOB!
