Blizzard has revealed at the Activate event in New Zealand that StarCraft 2 will not make a 2008 release as some expected.
Hotly tipped for a Christmas release, Blizzard's RTS will not make the end of year holiday rush. Activision added "Next year's offerings from Activision Blizzard should include highlyanticipated PC strategy title StarCraft II, the sequel to one of theworld's most enduringly popular games".
With Beta testing not having started yet for the RTS, it was always going to be a tight schedule to make an end of year release and Blizzard are not exactly known for pushing out unfinished products. Stay tuned for furtehr updates later in the year.
