Bungie Unveils New Halo 3 Map

Bungie has revealed details of the new Halo 3 multiplayer map, Assembly.

The map, previously titled Purple Reign, was unveiled at the Penny Arcade Expo event in Seattle at the weekend. According to Eurogamer, Assembly's setting is a Convenant Scarab factory and the map was expected as part of the Legendary Map Pack released back in April.

Bungie is not giving much away about when we can expect the new map: "Let's head off the inevitable influx of questions at the proverbial pass," says the Bungie website. "We currently have no information on how or when Assembly will be made available. When we know, we'll let you know. We promise."

Halo 3 is still riding high in the Xbox Live charts, recently losing the top spot to Call of Duty 4.
