GC for North America?
26 Aug 2008 by Paul YoungerGC organisers have set their sights on the North American market according to comments made by CEO Wolfgang Marzin.
With the US videogame trade shows still in turmoil following another disappointing E3 and E4All looking as if it will be another poor show this year, there is some good news on the horizon.
As the GC closed at the weekend in Leipzig, CEO Wolfgang Marzin announced that the GC was set to expand. Already targeting the Asian market with GC Asia between 18 to 20 September, Wolfgang Marzin commented:
"The GC could be adjusted to suit different markets. The concept is flexible and the network of the global games industry permits us to be active at different locations. After the Southeast Asian Games Convention, we are now focusing on the North American market.”
Fantastic news for US gamers, the GC is doing everything right and a decent show in the US would go down well and no doubt gain publisher support.
