ArmA II Confirmed

PC tactical shooter, ArmA, will be followed by a sequel sometime in Q1 next year.

Aptly named ArmaA II, the game promises to feature some of the most realistic warfare to found on any platform.

The Bohemia Interactive gang have had enough experience creating real war situations for clients such as the US Marine Corps, MoD (Ministry of Defence, UK) and the Australian Defence Force.

The same engine used for the above clients, the Real Virtuality engine, will be used for the upcoming title.

The game will be set in the near future and set in a fictional, post-Soviet country where players take the role of the USMC in a peacekeeping capacity.

There will be a host of multiplayer options as well as co-operative play.
“After the success of ArmA: Armed Assault in Europe, we’re thrilled to bring PC gamers more action-packed warfare with ArmA II,” said Alex Price, senior global brand manager.
