New EverQuest Expansions


Sony have announced that there will be expansion packs for both EverQuest: Seeds of Destruction, and EverQuest II: The Shadow Odyssey, both of which will be released later this year.

The announcement came at the Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) Fan Faire in Las Vegas which is currently taking place.  John Smedley, SOE president said that both the expansions are “rich in content and adventure and will provide [our] players with hours of excitement as they explore the online world of Norrath.”

The Shadow Odyssey is the fifth expansion for the title and adds 20 new zones, new dungeons, an achievement level cap increase to 200, five new general quests as well as hundreds of other smaller quests, a new reward system, new deities and “Epic Tales as well as the all the content for the previous.

Seeds of Destruction is lighter on content, with level capping at 85, 20 new zones, new realms, player controlled NPCs as well as new music.  You’ll also get the online card game, Legends of Norrath with both expansions.

EverQuest: Seeds of Destruction will be released on October 21, and EverQuest II: The Shadow Odyssey on November 18.
