The Associated Press are reporting that the decision not to release a Dark Night game at the same time as the film has potentially lost them $100 million USD.
Estimates have been drawn from other film come game titles that have earned publishers a small fortune such as Spiderman, Shrek and even Superman.
The game was due to be published by EA and follow suit of the previous Batman Begins title, but with the untimely death of Heath Ledger and delays with deadlines and poor quality and projection sales the game has seemed to have hit the backburner. Or maybe Sony Online Entertainment has scared them off with their November release schedule of the MMO DC Universe Online.
Who knows, we’re trying to get EA to talk to us about this, so until then you’re just going to have to make do with news that the DC Universe is still on track…
