Variety have reported, after talking to Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), that Ghostbusters and Brutal Legend will definitely be making an appearance on consoles next year.
Sony have said that the game will be released and that it's given them time "to evaluate various options surrounding the release of the Ghostbusters video game."
SPE have also said that delayed release my work in their favour as it will "potentially coincide with the 25th anniversary of the original film."
The game failed to show on Sierra's release schedule after SPE sold the IP to Vivendi last year.
Brutal Legend too, was dropped, and there are rumours that Double Fine, the developer and owner of the rights to the IP are close to sealing a new deal with a new publisher.
