Gears 2 To Have Linked Achievements

Epic's Cliff Bleszinski has announced Gears of War 2 will feature linked achievements.

Speaking at San Diego's Comic-Con event, the Gears developer explained how achievements gained in the first game would unlock new features in the sequel, giving three examples:

1. Completing Act One in the first game will unlock a playable Anthony Carmine in Gears of War 2.
2. Finding ten COG tags in Gears 1 will unlock Minh Young Kim in Gears of War 2.
3. Killing Raam in Gears 1 will unlock him as a playable character in Gears of War 2.

Bleszinski also announced that film composer Steve Jablonsky (Transformers, Texas Chainsaw Massacre) is working on the score for the upcoming sequel.
