WALL-E will be the first title in video gaming history to be localised in Arabic for the Middle East.
The game developed by Pluto Games and published by THQ, is due out in the summer, is based on the Disney Pixar movie and will be available on 360, PS3 and PSP.
Obviously, there are only a few games that would be suitable for release in Arabic, as most of the time you are running around trying to shoot them. But Like Keighran, THQ export sales manager, said that it showed their “commitment to the Middle East Market.”
THQ hope to release more games in Arabic in the near future, and the reason that WALL-E was chosen was because it suited the Middle East market, depicting family virtues as well as running a strong storyline.
Can you think of anymore titles that might work in the Middle East…I’ll get you started with Assassin’s Creed…
