Rock Band 2 Confirmed

Harmonix has announced that Rock Band will be hitting the 360 exclusively in September this year, but other platform versions will follow said Dan Teasdale, lead designer, to IGN.

The new game will see new and improved peripherals, however, the old kit will still work with the game.

The game will also see cross-compatible downloadable content.  Not only that, but you’ll be able to move DLC from Rock Band to Rock Band 2.  Teasdale has also said that we’ll see a different way of playing with the DLC.

"We've been scouring forums and parties everywhere for what people liked and didn't like, and I'm pretty confident we've addressed everything I've heard people ask for,” said Teasdale.

No real surprise that a new version is on the way, however, why so soon…?
