Microsoft announced today the Official European ‘Halo 3’ Tournament which will see ‘Halo 3’ players from around Europe battling it out for some top notch prizes.

Gamers that are interested in taking on their European counterparts can head over to the Xbox LIVE Dashboard and follow the on screen instructions.

Once registered you’ll be able to go around blowing our continental friends up from the 18th – 30th of March in an open-play environment…online of course.  Game modes are Slayer, King of the Hill and Oddball.

The open-play will end with the top ranking player from each European country being crowned ‘Halo 3’ National Champion.  They’ll get a piece of exclusive framed ‘Halo’ artwork and qualify for the European Final, a one-off LIVE match to find the champion of champions.

With prizes like ‘Halo 3’ artwork, the new Samsung Crystal Design 40” Series 6 FHD TV and a brand new Xbox 360 Elite, it really might just be worth checking out.
