‘GTA IV’ Multiplayer 360 Exclusive?

Microsoft’s Don Mattrick has put fans in a spin with a quote inferring that ‘Grand Theft Auto IV’ multiplayer online action is “unique to 360”.

Talking to Major Nelson, Mattrick was waxing lyrical about the forthcoming game, saying it’s “an amazing piece of software and I’m really excited with its downloadable content and online multiplayer support. Again, that’s something that’s unique to 360.” He added, “We think that consumers are going to love that and it’s going to create, what I would describe again as the premium experience on our platform.”

Of course nothing has been confirmed, but multiplayer on 360 alone would be the coup of the century, putting PS3’s nose firmly out of joint. Stay tuned: same bat channel.
