Rockstar developers have said that ‘Grand Theft Auto IV’, probably the biggest game for 2008, is “virtually finished”, with an announcement for the release date imminent.

A Rockstar representative told CVG that the “game is in a very, very different place now. It’s improved virtually in every single way.”

It’s not confirmed, but the release date is speculated for the 25th April, the final day of Rockstar parent company’s, Take Two, fiscal fourth quarter.

But in the meantime, Rockstar will be using the time to process the licensing of the massive list of music and polishing off other bits before it’s final release.
