Following the cancelation of Gods & Heroes by Perpetual and then the formation of the company under the name P2 Entertainment, they were apparently concentrating on Star Trek Online as their next game. No huge surpise today then that they are no longer working on the project which has now been handed over to a new San Francisco based developer.
Apparently the game's 'content', but not the code, has been handed over to a new developer according to Warcry. P2 will now contentrate on development and licensing of their Perpetual Platform as well as the casual games market.
TrekMovie.com is also reporting that Cryptic Studios have been busy interviewing members of Perpetual but Cryptic will not confirm whether they will be taking over the project. No doubt we'll hear more on this in the coming weeks but it looks like Trek fans are going to have to wait quite some time to get their Star Trek MMO.
