Southpeak Interactive has now set a release date for Playtos on-foot arcade racing title Iridium Runners which will be landing on the PS2.

No vehicles in this racing game though, players take part in the futuristic Iridium Championship, a series of athletic on-foot races sponsored by mega-corporations. Gamers can expect inventive tracks, weapons and power-ups to become the ultimate racing champ.

We’ve got titles across eight formats lined up for the rest of the year and it’s great to be starting with a distinctive, instantly-accessible racing title like Iridium Runners. Iridium Runners will be released on February 22nd 2008.
