Age of Conan to Siege GC

Funcom are set to lay siege to the GC this week with news that they will show Siege weaponry behind closed doors. In other words if you are very special person, the press or you're sleeping with the tea-boy's sister then you'll get a chance to see this demoed by the devs.

Don't worry though, if you're attending with the general public then you will be able to try out the Siege system by playing against other players in  'fast-paced player-versus-player battles' on the show floor.

In case you don't know about this feature, in the game guilds can actually create their own fortresses and capture other players' battlekeeps by waging war against them. Capturing these building will not be easy though but you will have access to swords, cavalry ans is one feavureh bu yoqfwitl h that blew us away a couple of years ago at E3 and one reason why I'm looking forward to Conan.

"It is time for the gloves to come off," says Game Director Gaute Godager. "This is the first time we will let consumers get their hands on the game at a trade show and we are kicking off by letting them experience the intensity of player-versus-player battles. This is the true Conan experience – bloody and barbaric!"

"In recent years the Games Convention in Leipzig has grown into one of the most important trade shows in the business," says Funcom CEO Trond Arne Aas. "This is a great venue for us to show off new material from 'Age of Conan' and to let gamers play the game for the first time ever at a trade show."
