Rise of the Argonauts Announced

Codemasters has announced they'll be publishing a new action RPG from the Liquid Entertainment team called Rise of the Argonauts.

The game, as you'd expect, is steeped in Greek mythology and player take on the role of Jason, King of Iolchis, and battle alongside iconic mythological heroes including Hercules, Achilles, Atalanta and others mythological characters you'll more than likely recognise. The game follows Jason's journey as a young man when takes to the sea aboard the Argo to explore the Aegean and its islands filled with shining cities, lush jungles and forests.

The game world will be full of enemy warriors and mythological creatures and as Jason you'll be taking part in some blood-thirsty combat against the numerous enemies found on his travels. As players progress, Jason will gain favour with the gods and earn new abilities, however not all actions will please all the gods. Keeping the gods happy will grant Jason special powers within the each god's domain but you won't be able to keep all the gods happy all of the time.

Rise of the Argonauts will be release next year on PC, PS3 and 360. Check out all the new screenshots and the first trailer from the game.
