Wii FIFA 08 Includes Footii Party with Ronaldinho

If it;s a Wii title you know it has to have something quirky included, it usually involved some character with an oversized head or something as equally inane.  FIFA08 will be no exception as EA has unveiled the Wii Footii Party mode that will only appear in the Wii version of the game.

EA has created a unique character of the celebrated Brazilian International football star Ronaldinho  that will only be playable in FIFA 08 on Wii. The Wii-exclusive Ronaldinho will host a game mode designed and created for the Wii called Footii Party with Ronaldinho. With this mode, EA introduces unique party games - including Table Football and Shoot Off – where you can play as your self-created Mii character to unlock Ronaldinho and take on the champ.

The large toothed wonder that is Ronaldinho commented

“My character looks like he enjoys playing football and shares my passion for the game. This is important to me. Whether you are playing football on the pitch or my party games in FIFA 08 on the Wii, it should be a fun and enjoyable experience.”

The game’s will of course make use of the FreeMotion controls so you can dance around your living room like some sort of possessed demon. Included is an in-game Football Academy you can learn basic and advanced controls in more than 30 tutorials. Each lesson teaches you how to master the controls and perform all the necessary movements which should help immensely.
