The Lord of the Rings Online Early Access Live

An email from Codemasters this morning confirms that EU Lord of the Rings Online early access is now live and kicking for all MMO Tolkien fans. If you haven't got a pre-order pack then fear not, you can still snag the packs allowing you to get in on the action before the game goes live to the masses on the 24th of April.

Our pack arrived just before the weekend so we'll be getting down and dirty with the game over the next few days. Having only taken the game for a spin briefly in the Beta period it's going to be interesting to see how things have shaped up. A WoW killer? Yes I know it's a predictable question but let's face it, it's what every developer is aiming for these days. Based on feedback we've seen from WOW players we are seriously doubting it, but with the Tolkien tie-in it will be an attractive proposition for fans of Tolkien's work. It could just catch a nice little niche for itself  Watch out for our review in the not too distant future.
