Chinese MMO operator The9 has snagged the rights to look after Flagship Studios' action RPG Hellgate: London. The deal has been signed for 3 years and The9 has agreed to, among other things, pay a total of US$5 million in license fees as well as guaranteed royalties equal to the greater of 21% of the retail value of the prepaid game cards produced for use or a total of US$30 million over the 3-year license period.

We will further leverage our operating experience and strong market position in China and will work closely with HanbitSoft and Flagship Studios to offer the Chinese players the most fantastic game play experience."
