Worms 4 Mayhem Released & Demo

Worms fans can now dash out and snag a copy of Team 17 and Codemasters latest installment in the Worms series,Worms 4 Mayhem, on the PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC. Look out for our full review shortly

Codemaster have also released the multiplayer demo for the game which weighs in at a 168 Mb and is available from the Worms official site.

Worms 4: Mayhem is crammed with the explosive worm-versus-worm single and multiplayer gameplay that gave the series classic status and this time battles are bigger, badder and better than ever before.

Gamers are free to wreak side-splitting revenge on their foes, with their teams of die-hard worms. Don't underestimate these creatures, they may be invertebrates but they sure ain't spineless!

For the first time in any Worms game, player's imagination can run riot by creating their own arsenal of weapons to cause as much havok as possible on their opponents – how about an exploding kitten bomb which detonates poison gas on a fuse setting?!

Prepare to cause chaos and humiliate the enemy with classic weapons, such as sticks of dynamite and exploding sheep, plus a host of new weapons that create new strategies and gameplay possibilities including the Bovine Blitz, which unleashes a squad of lethal cows!

Gamers can customise their worms and choosing their hair, hands, faces and glasses - all with Worms trademark humour. The customisation doesn't stop there; players can give their personal army a Trinny and Susannah-style make-over and dress them in all kinds of clobber from disco outfits, cowboy get-ups, Scottish kits and even astronaut suits!

With bold levels, an improved 3D camera and animation system, a stunning arsenal delivering comedy kabooms, the loveable, customisable, yet entirely destructible, the worms are back in full force!

Worms 4: Mayhem, developed by Team 17 and published by Codemasters, is out today – July 29th – on PC (£19.99 RRP), PlayStation 2 (£29.99) and Xbox (£29.99).
